The Residence
Set on Holiday Isle between Destin Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico, 619 Choctaw is a three-level coastal residence designed by Geoff Chick and built by Magnolia Custom Homes. The main level opens completely to a covered porch deck, pool, and private dock on the canal. Twelve-foot ceilings, white oak floors, and walls of French doors carry the light from the water through the house.
Restoration Hardware's interior design team has planned the house room by room, from the foyer chandelier to the bunk-room linens. The furnishings package is included, so the house is ready to live in the day it's finished.
Architecture
Board-and-batten and shingle, deep porches, cross-braced balconies, and a roofline of dormers facing the water. Every exterior door and window is specified to the Florida Building Code's impact standards for high-wind zones.
Interiors by RH
A restrained palette of weathered oak, Carrara marble, and natural linen, with every room furnished to RH's interior design specification.
Twelve-foot coffered ceilings around a stacked-stone fireplace, opening directly to the porch deck and pool.
Seating for ten under a 48-inch Wright chandelier, with French doors to the water and an island kitchen alongside.
The whole third-level wing: bedroom, sitting room, spa bath, and a dressing room with 10-foot ceilings, plus a private study next door.
On the second level, two more en-suite bedrooms open onto their own balconies over the pool and canal.
